Dear Roadeo Participants, Judges and Friends:
The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) is excited to host the 27th Annual Minnesota State Bus Roadeo. The DTA encourages you to attend this great event in the city by the “Big Lake!”
This event features an obstacle course at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center for both the large and small bus categories. Each transit system can send up to two bus operators to compete in each class. Please note that registration is on a first-come-first-served basis with a limited number of entries.
Friendly competition and safety training define the MN State Bus Roadeo, but it is also an opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals who work in public transit across the state. Plus, you get to view the splendor of Lake Superior and Duluth in the summer.
I hope you’ll take some time on Friday to Discover Duluth on the Port Town Trolley. This 30-minute tour will take you through scenic Canal Park, Bayfront Park and downtown Duluth. Then, after the awards ceremony on Saturday, take a ride up Lake Superior’s North Shore aboard the Northshore Scenic Railway.
